In Australia, an ethical code of practice is administered by Ethical Clothing Australia and relates to the production of clothing. The Ethical Clothing Code of Practice generally relates to:

  • Manufacturing guidelines;
  • Working Conditions;
  • Materials guidelines.

As this is a voluntary code, the legal enforceability may be reduced or impaired. However, at Navado we may be able to assist you if you seek an advice on your present level of compliance, in responding to allegations that you have contravened the Code of Practice and in improving your internal procedures.

If you believe there has been a breach of this Code of Conduct, Navado may be able to advise as to whether the Code applied to the relevant retailer and whether any rights are available to you as a result of the alleged noncompliance.

We recommend that you contact our firm on (02) 9233 4048 or send an email to info@navado.com.au and arrange an appointment to see one of our Compliance & Regulatory Law Solicitors.
