The work of a removalist may be regulated by the Australian Furniture Removers Association (AFRA). AFRA is a non-governmental organisation which has established a Code of Conduct for its voluntary members.  The AFRA Code of Conduct generally covers:

  • Dealings with Clients;
  • Premises;
  • Staff;
  • Vehicles and Equipment;
  • Insurance;
  • Dispute;
  • Security Bond; and
  • Advertising.

If you are a removalist we may be able to assist you in regards to offering advice on the standards expected under the Code of Conduct and whether you have achieved compliance. We can also advise and represent you if a complaint or proceedings are brought against you arising from your conduct.

If you are a client who has been adversely affected by the conduct of a removalist, we may be able to assist by advising on your rights and whether you have grounds to make a claim against the removalist.

We recommend that you contact our firm on (02) 9233 4048 or send an email to info@navado.com.au and arrange an appointment to see one of our Compliance & Regulatory Law Solicitors.
