The Australian Government Department of Health Therapeutic Goods Administration regulates the provision of Therapeutic Goods. The Administration generally relates to advertising, labelling, product appearance and appeal guidelines. It is generally the case that goods are regulated by the following legislation:

  • Therapeutic Goods Act 1989;
  • Therapeutic Goods Regulations 1990;
  • Therapeutic Goods (Medical Devices) Regulations 2002;
  • Therapeutic Goods (Charges) Act 1989;
  • Therapeutic Goods (Charges) Regulations 1990.
