A number of Australian federal boards regulate the licensing of Professionals in Australia. Generally in Australia, there is a competent licensing authority for the following professional industries:
- Architects;
- Engineers;
- Financial services;
- Food and edible consumables;
- Health and medical;
- Law; and
- Teachers and education providers.
Where a licensing requirement is upheld for a professional scheme, there is generally a supporting code of conduct which controls the manner in which those professionals may conduct themselves. If you are a Professional and are seeking advice in relation to compliance with licensing requirements or standards, or if it is alleged that you have failed to comply with the applicable standards, we encourage you to contact us to further discuss your options.
If you are of the view that you have been mistreated by your professional, and believe they may not have complied with their professional code, then we would encourage you to call us to discuss this further.
