Food Safety Compliance:

Overview FAQs Articles Locations

The New South Wales Government enforces Food Safety Compliance via the Department of Primary Industries Food Authority. The Authority provides for a number of different policies which outline the handling of food in a general retail or industrial manner and offers consumer advice. Within the retail industry, the Authority offers various policies generally relating to:

  • Raw Fish;
  • Inspections;
  • Charity auctions;
  • Grading of produce; and
  • Cleanliness.

At Navado we may be able to assist new and existing businesses in ensuring compliance with the food safety standards, including where a breach notice has been issued by the Authority, together with consumers who believe they have become sick as a result of a business' non compliance, from which criminal and/or negligence suits may arise. At Navado we have experience in all such matters, and are able to advise you on your rights and potential causes of action.

We recommend that you contact our firm on (02) 9233 4048 or send an email to info@navado.com.au and arrange an appointment to see one of our Compliance & Regulatory Law Solicitors.
