In Australia, Physiotherapy practice is generally regulated by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia. This is supported by the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency. The Board itself upholds a code of conduct which generally covers:

  • Providing good care to patients;
  • Working with patients or clients;
  • Working with other practitioners;
  • Working within the healthcare system;
  • Minimising risk;
  • Maintaining professional performance;
  • Professional behaviour;
  • Ensuring practitioner health;
  • Teaching, supervising and assessing;
  • Undertaking research.

At Navado we may be able to assist you whether you are the patient or the practitioner. Generally, as the patient we may be able to assist you where you believe you may have a case against the practitioner arising from their conduct. Conversely if you are a practitioner and are seeking advice on your compliance obligations, or have been accused of noncompliance, then we would encourage you to contact us to discuss your next steps.

We invite you to contact our firm on (02) 9233 4048 or send an email to info@navado.com.au and arrange an appointment to see one of our Compliance & Regulatory Law Solicitors.
