Dental Board of Australia:

Dentists are regulated by professional standards, which are administered by the Dental Board of Australia. The Dental Board works in conjunction with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and is empowered to regulate registered dentists by way of section 39 of the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (NSW).

The professional standards regulate:

• Relations with clients;
• Relations with practitioners;
• Risk management;
• Professional performance;
• Professional behavior; and
• Research.
