Overview FAQs Articles Locations

If you advertise  your business, then your business may be bound to advertise in accordance with any relevant codes produced by the Advertising Standards Bureau. The Bureau itself administers a number of different codes which include those drafted by the:

  • Australian Association of National Advertisers;
  • Federal Chamber Of Automotive Industries; and
  • Australian Food & Grocery Council.

The Bureau also outlines specific conditions relating to advertisement of certain types of businesses and/or advertising to specific audiences. These include:

  • Food and beverage industry;
  • Advertising to children;
  • Sale of motor vehicles;
  • Quick service restaurants;
  • Environmental claims; and
  • Wagering.

If you wish to obtain a better understanding of your business' advertising requirements, or if you are being investigated by a professional body in relation to alleged breaches of an advertising code, we recommend that you contact our firm on (02) 9233 4048 or send an email to info@navado.com.au and arrange an appointment to see one of our Compliance & Regulatory Law Solicitors.
