Fixed Fee Options

How We Charge

We pride ourselves on our price-competitive nature. We strive to provide the highest quality legal and financial services whilst ensuring that our services remain affordable. The way we see it, every Australian should have access to exceptional legal and financial advice and assistance and there should be no mystery about professional fees. We are not afraid to let you know how we charge for our services before you have even met us and we are confident enough in our services to outline our range of fixed fee options on our website.  Across all our services, whether legal, conveyancing, mortgage broking, financial planning and tax and accounting, we offer free first consultations with the appropriate expert.

For legal matters, we charge on either a fixed fee, hourly rate or staged billing basis. We keep our legal fees fair and reasonable and disclose fees up-front, in writing, at all times. Across all legal matters, we charge fixed fees for the provision of a preliminary legal opinion. Where it is difficult to determine the amount of work that will be involved in your matter, we will charge on an hourly rate or staged basis and most importantly, we will provide an estimate of the fees up-front, in writing, for the work that we expect to do. The hourly rate for all legal work performed by any Solicitor of the firm (Practice Director, Associate Solicitor or Solicitor) is consistently set at $ 290.00 plus GST. For a more detailed understanding of how we charge for a particular type of legal matter, choose a legal area (via the menu above) and then click on the ‘how we charge’ quick link or other quick links that explain how we charge for the particular type of matter.

For conveyancing matters, we charge fixed fees of $590 plus disbursements for the purchase or sale of a standard residential property and $1250 plus GST for the purchase or sale of a standard commercial property.  For a more detailed understanding of how we charge for a particular type of conveyancing matter (say, for example, the purchase of a residential property), you can click on the ‘how we charge button’ at the relevant type of purchase or sale (residential or commercial).

For residential mortgage broking services, we do not usually charge any fees for our services.  For a more detailed understanding of how we charge for a particular type of mortgage broking matter (say, for example, a home loan), you can click on the ‘how we charge button’ at the relevant type of mortgage broking matter. More information in relation to our fees and/or commissions structure will be made clear in a credit guide, which will be provided to you up-front, at the first appointment.

For financial planning matters, we charge fixed fees for the preparation of a Statement of Advice, between $220 and $3300, depending on the complexity of your circumstances and the amount of work involved.  More information in relation to our fees and/or commissions structure will be made clear in a financial services guide, which will be provided to you up-front, at the first appointment.

For tax & accounting matters, we charge fixed fees, across the entire range of personal and business services that we offer. For example, we charge a fixed fee of $88.00 for a standard individual tax return, where we prepare and lodge your tax return on the spot, assuming we have sufficient information, all the required documentation and we consider it appropriate that we do so.  For a more detailed understanding of how we charge for a particular practice area within tax & accounting services (say, for example, company tax return preparation), you can click on the ‘how we charge button’ at the relevant practice area.

By offering free consultations with any one of our experts, as well as so many flexible pricing structures, we remain competitive at all times, across our suite of services.

Our Quality Guarantee

It is important to us that we continue to provide consistent and high quality legal and financial advice. To ensure this, we maintain and regularly review our company policies, standards and procedures.   We have a full compliance team and compliance committee comprising Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, Financial Advisers and Mortgage Brokers. Our compliance committee are members of professional associations including the Law Society of New South Wales, the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. Frequent board and compliance meetings ensure that our staff deal with matters consistently and in accordance with our company standards.  Each business of the Navado group operates not only to industry and professional standards, but also operates to meet high internal standards set by the board.

All of our professional advisers have university degrees (exceeding industry and regulatory standards in financial planning and mortgage broking).  We carefully select and employ staff, ensuring that each member of the Navado team is properly qualified (to the Navado standard), intelligent, passionate and humble.
