Practice Director
peter.zada@navado.com.au
Peter holds over 26 years of experience as a practicing Solicitor, handling litigation and legal advisory matters, across the firm and has steered and overseen all legal work carried out by Navado, since establishment in Sydney CBD in 2001.
For over two decades, until late 2021, Peter worked full time as a Solicitor at the Navado Head Office at 309 Pitt Street, Sydney CBD and managed teams of Lawyers at Navado, working across multiple areas of law simultaneously, including in bankruptcy and insolvency, civil and commercial litigation, building and construction, criminal law, business and commercial law, employment law, family law, intellectual property and property law. Peter also managed many legal matters in niche areas of law, such as administrative law, animal law, charities and not-for-profits, defamation, discrimination, education law, banking and financial services law, mental health law, mortgage disputes law, personal injury and medical negligence, privacy law, as well as tax legal advisory and tax litigation. In these 20 years, Peter managed several thousands of legal and litigation matters and developed into a seasoned general practitioner, enjoying both the breadth across and the depth in complex litigation and legal advisory matters, across multiple areas of law.
Peter steered Navado through the Covid-19 pandemic, with the introduction of new technology and systems at Navado, through which Navado commenced offering legal and litigation services remotely and online, from very early in 2020. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Navado remained based in Sydney CBD until January 2023, when Navado relocated office to Hornsby, to be more accessible to its clients outside of the Sydney CBD. Peter now operates a leaner and more refined version of Navado, with operational systems designed for the cost effective and efficient delivery of quality legal and litigation services, through Navado’s technology platforms and video-conferencing capabilities.
Peter holds an Honours Law Degree, as well as a Degree in Commerce (Accounting and Economics) from the University of Sydney, amongst many other qualifications. For many years and until late 2021, Peter was not only Head of Legal Services, managing many Lawyers, but also practiced as a Public Accountant and Registered Tax Agent, at Navado. In late 2021, Peter decided to cease working in financial services, so that he could focus on the provision of legal services only, but Peter continues to be a member of the Institute of Public Accountants as well as other professional bodies in Governance, Management Consulting and Finance. Peter often draws on his background in financial services, to assist him in tackling complicated litigation and business legal advisory matters which have analytical, complex, financial or forensic elements to them.
Celebrating 24 years of continuous service as the Director of Navado, Peter is able to service clients whether they are based in Metropolitan Sydney or in New South Wales, as well as clients based across Australia and internationally. Where necessary and by appointment, Peter now meets with clients in person at the Hornsby Head Office or the Sydney Office.
Peter welcomes the opportunity to be of service to you as a client of the firm.
We provide an initial telephone consultation, for up to 15 minutes, free of charge, during which our Practice Director will provide his preliminary views on the matter, prior to reading or reviewing any documents, as well as an indication of our fixed or estimated legal fees, to commence work on your legal matter. If you would like to speak to our Practice Director, please call (02) 9233 4048. If we are not not available to take your call, please leave a voicemail message with your name and phone number and a short description about what the matter is about and our Practice Director will return your call as soon as possible, usually on the same day.
We disclose fees up-front, in writing, at all times. Where it is appropriate and possible for us to do, we charge on a fixed fee basis. In matters where it is more difficult to predict precisely what the total legal fees will be, we will charge on an hourly rate basis, at the rate of $ 495.00 inclusive of GST ($450 plus GST) per hour for any work carried out by a Director or Associate Solicitors. We usually estimate legal costs in stages and ask for funds up-front, in stages throughout your matter, as it progresses.
Navado Lawyers & Solicitors was founded in 2001 with the aim of offering affordable quality legal services to its clients. Today, Navado hosts a team of dynamic Lawyers, handling a broad range of litigation and legal advisory matters with the unified goal of providing outstanding and affordable legal services to our commercial and individual clients.
