A Community Treatment Order (CTO) is an order which requires a person in the community to receive compulsory treatment made after a CTO Application has been lodged. There are several professionals and persons that may have the ability to apply for a CTO, such as, a doctor (either at the hospital which the person is detained, or familiar with the person’s history), Director of a community health care centre or the person’s primary care giver.
