The NSW Department of Environment’s guide for owners of service stations summarises the obligations owners of service stations have in respect to vapour recovery systems.[1] They are as follows:

Service station operators.

$44,000 (corporation)

$22,000 (individual)

Tankers must not be used unless  a vapour recovery system has been fitted.

owners of tankers with a capacity of 12 kL or more.

Drivers of tankers are required to make sure the vapour recovery system is properly connected.

Persons in charge of tankers .
