- Disputes about the payout of superannuation entitlements upon retirement or in other circumstances such as on the grounds of financial hardship;
- Disputes about the payout of other entitlements under a superannuation policy such as permanent impairment benefits.
Most commonly superannuation disputes are resolved through the implementation of alternative dispute resolution processes such as negotiation, conciliation or mediation. Such processes may even be an initial requirement under the terms of the superannuation policy, prior to commencing legal proceedings.
