Fire and Rescue New South Wales, through their affiliation with the New South Wales Government, upholds a number of regulations in relation to construction. Fire and Rescue New South Wales, administers a number of different Fire Safety Guidelines including:

  • Guidelines for emergency plans at sites having hazardous chemicals;
  • Guidelines for impulse fans in car parks;
  • Guidelines for emergency vehicle access;
  • Guidelines for tactical fire plans;
  • Guidelines on streamlined 144 applications for large isolated buildings;
  • Guidelines for bulk storage of rubber tyres; and
  • Guidelines for fire hydrants for minor residential development.

Additional to these standards, there are further standards enforced by other building and regulatory agencies which control the fire safety of buildings. At Navado, we may be able to assist you in the planning stage to ensure your compliance with these regulations. Additionally, if you have been notified by a competent authority of alleged noncompliance, or have been harmed through noncompliance, we would encourage you to contact us as soon as possible to discuss your potential next steps.

If you are unsure of your obligations or rights in relation to compliance, or if you have had contact with the regulating body in relation to alleged breaches of the Regulation, we recommend that you call our firm on (02) 9233 4048 or send an email to info@navado.com.au and arrange an appointment to see one of our Compliance & Regulatory Law Solicitors.
