Drones:

Overview FAQs Articles Locations

Drones, as a remotely piloted aircraft, are regulated by the Civil Aviation and Safety Authority (CASA. Generally CASA is empowered by the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations Part 101 1998 which contains definitions for Drones as being:

  • Recreational;

At Navado, we may be able to assist you in seeking the appropriate licencing or regulatory approval if you are seeking to undertake commercial work with your drone, or if you are seeking advice for your recreation. Additionally if you believe you have been impacted by noncompliant operation of drones, then we would encourage you to call us to further discuss your options.

If you are unsure of your obligations or rights in relation to compliance, or if you have had contact with the regulating body in relation to alleged breaches of the Regulation, we recommend that you contact our firm on (02) 9233 4048 or send an email to info@navado.com.au and arrange an appointment to see one of our Compliance & Regulatory Law Solicitors.
