In New South Wales it may be the case that your gas installation service is controlled by codes of conduct contained in the Gas Supply (Consumer Safety) Regulation 2012 and the Motor Vehicle Repairs Act 1980.

The codes, as contained in each Act, generally control the licensing protocols. If you are in circumstances of having your license revoked, or are concerned that work was completed by someone who has misrepresented themselves as having a license, you may have grounds for a claim. Similarly if you feel that work has been certified but has not been completed to an acceptable standard, then grounds for a claim may exist.

If you are unsure of your obligations in relation to the codes of conduct, or if you have had contact with the regulating body in relation to alleged breaches of the code, we recommend that you contact our firm on (02) 9233 4048 or send an email to info@navado.com.au and arrange an appointment to see one of our Compliance & Regulatory Law Solicitors.
