Our Values
Navado Legal and Financial Group hosts the industry’s leading and most dynamic Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, Financial Planners and Mortgage Brokers. The alliance of these professionals makes us an unrivalled and formidable corporate identity, with a unified goal of providing outstanding and affordable legal, financial and tax services to our commercial and individual clients.
We have a simple corporate maxim:
Competitive. Consistent. Convenient.
Competitive: We pride ourselves on our price-competitive nature. We strive to provide the highest quality legal and financial services whilst ensuring that our services remain affordable to the average Australian. The way we see it, every Australian should have access to exceptional legal and financial advice and assistance and there should be no mystery about professional fees. We are not afraid to let you know how we charge for our services before you have even met us and we are confident enough in our services to outline our range of fixed fee options on our website.
We understand the sheer financial burden of obtaining legal and financial advice today. That is why we offer three types of costing across our board of services:
Fixed fee – We offer fixed fees in certain areas across our range of legal and financial services. The advantage of fixed fees is the commercial certainty that it provides our clients, which aids them in their budgeting (both for our commercial and individual clients). Transparency is just as important to us as it is to our clients. You should contact our office to discuss fixed fees and how it can apply to you. We have set out our fixed fee packages under the “Fixed Fee Options” button.
Hourly rate – We charge on an hourly basis in matters where it is difficult to predict the amount of time the work will take. Where we are charging on an hourly rate basis, we have a policy of having each task performed by the least expensive person with the requisite experience and where appropriate, to ensure cost effectiveness. We recognise that the most prevalent problem with charging at hourly rates is a lack of transparency. That is why we ensure that our clients are provided with an estimate of costs prior to commencing the work. We also give our clients the opportunity to question and negotiate our costs. It is important to us that our clients understand how we charge.
Staged billing – Staged billing is a milestone-based costing regime that sets a certain fee payable for each stage of the process. Similar to fixed fees, staged billing is a transparent costing system where you will know exactly what you are paying and how much you will be paying, at each stage of your matter. We do our best to dissect the matter into stages. In our discretion, we offer staged billing in some complicated and protracted matters.
By having three different types of Fee Structures, our clients rest assured knowing that they will not be hit with an unexpected invoice at the conclusion of their matter. If you think that you are getting a better deal elsewhere, we want to know about it.
Consistent: It is important to us that we continue to provide consistent and superior legal and financial advice. We will not, for any reason, prejudice the quality or competence of our advice. To ensure this, we maintain and regularly review our company policies, standards and procedures. We have a full compliance team and compliance committee comprising Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, Financial Advisers and Mortgage Brokers. Our compliance committee are members of professional associations including the Law Society of New South Wales, the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. Frequent board and compliance meetings ensure that our staff deal with matters consistently and in accordance with our company standards. Each branch of the Navado group operates not only to industry and professional standards, but also operates to meet high internal standards set by the board.
All of our professional advisers have university degrees (exceeding industry and regulatory standards in financial planning and mortgage broking). We carefully select and employ staff, ensuring that each member of the Navado team is properly qualified (to the Navado standard), intelligent, passionate and humble.
We intend to lead the market not only in the provision of professional services to our clients but by staying on the cutting edge when it comes to compliance, technical updates and industry practice. We have established a regular newsletter that is sent to our subscribing clients and which canvasses the work that we do in relation to updates in the law and in practice.
Convenient: Our Law Firm is conveniently located in the Sydney CBD (Head Office) and across eight branch offices, Sydney-wide. Our Chartered Accountants are based in the Sydney CBD head office. Our Mortgage Brokers and Financial Planners are based in the Sydney CBD and can meet with you at your home or work in the areas we service and adjoining suburbs.
Our unique group structure combines the skills of Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, Financial Planners and Mortgage Brokers. As a multi-disciplinary practice, we have the ability to satisfy our clients’ wide range of legal and financial needs, requirements and goals. Effectively, we are a one-stop-shop for quality legal and financial services. Some clients engage our services for more than one service offering, whilst others seek assistance from us for one service offering and not others. Whether you wish to use our firm as a stand-alone Law Firm or Mortgage Broking Firm, or whether you wish to speak to our Financial Planners or Chartered Accountants, we are happy to help. Each of our businesses operates separately from the other and has its own client base, but can work in synergy with another Navado business, if this suits you. The simplest example of the synergy that can be created by Navado Legal and Financial Group can be seen in the purchase of property:
- Our Lawyers can effect the conveyance of the property
- Our Mortgage Brokers can arrange finance and ensure that the mortgage is not unsuitable to your financial circumstances
- Our Financial Planners can ensure that your purchase is economically sustainable and in-line with your wealth creation, retirement and investment goals
- Our Chartered Accountants can address taxation issues arising from the purchase
Our clients enjoy the benefit of knowing that their professional advisers can work together to achieve their goals and to reduce inefficiencies involved in managing their transaction from start to finish. Our clients may choose to use one, a few, or all of our service lines during their relationship with us.
