What are the tax implications for me, if I have more than one job?

When an individual is employed, the first $6,000 of their yearly income is not subject to any tax. This is known as the tax free threshold. If you have more than one job, you can only claim the tax free threshold from one employer. It is advisable to claim the tax free threshold from your main employer (i.e. the employer that pays the highest salary/wage). Income from your second job will be taxed at a higher rate.

Our Sydney Tax Agents specialise in dealing with taxation issues for clients with multiple jobs.

Our Sydney Tax Agents service the Greater Sydney Metropolitan region, through our Head Office in Sydney CBD and our Branch offices in Parramatta, North Sydney, Hurstville, Gordon, Bondi Junction, Liverpool, Campbelltown and Baulkham Hills.  Contact one of our friendly Sydney Tax Agents today regarding your Individual Tax Return assessable income on (02) 9233 4048 or book a free first consultation through our website.
