Conveyancing can be made simple by selecting the right Conveyancing Solicitor to assist you with your property purchase or sale.
Our Conveyancing Solicitors have listed some helpful hints for your benefit:
1. Should I choose a Solicitor or conveyancer?
A Solicitor is dually qualified to provide both conveyancing advice and can advise you on matters that may be related to your property; such as family court matters, disputes, wills and probate. Conveyancers may conduct work in the field of conveyancing only.
2. How do I choose the right Conveyancing firm?
Our head office is located in the Sydney CBD where most conveyancing settlements occur. Our legal staff will attend settlement on your behalf unlike many other firms who outsource representatives. Our firm also uses the latest legal software and utilizes DX (Direct Exchange – business to business mail system) services to handle your documents. Each conveyancing account is appointed a supervising Conveyancing Solicitor to expedite your matter efficiently.
3. How do I choose the right Conveyancing Solicitor?
Our experienced Conveyancing Solicitors live throughout metropolitan Sydney and are professionally and geographically equipped to handle your conveyance with in depth local knowledge specific to your suburb. All our conveyancing clients are allocated a supervising Conveyancing Solicitor to manage their matters.
4. When should I contact a Solicitor regarding my conveyance?
We recommend the earlier the better. If you’re selling a property then we will need to prepare your contract of sale before the property goes on the market. If you are a purchaser then we advise you to contact us once you’ve sighted the property and requested a contract from the agent, so that we may provide you with a contract advice.
5. What will a conveyance cost me?
The cost of a standard purchase or sale conveyance is $590 (including GST) plus disbursements. Disbursements are the necessary reports and searches that are required to provide you with the correct advice if you are purchasing a property or prepare a contract if you are selling. We will send you a conveyancing costs agreement that further explains the costs and disbursements to ensure you have a clear understanding of the fees.
