How much can I deposit into my superannuation?

How much you can deposit into super depends on your age, how you are depositing the money and what your aims are. There are limits on how much you can contribute into your super. A Sydney Financial Planner can help you determine how much you can contribute into your superannuation to be tax effective.

For most people, the concessional contributions cap is $25,000. However, there are exceptions to this rule, especially for those above the age of 50. If you desire not to make a concessional contribution , you can make extra non-concessional contributions. However as with concessional contributions, there are limits on what non-concessional contributions can be made in both one year and three year blocks.

It is important that you speak with a Financial Adviser if you are considering salary sacrificing and making extra contributions to your superannuation. Our Financial Advisors are able to meet you in your home or in our offices in Sydney or across Sydney suburbs including Parramatta or North Sydney. The first meeting with our financial advisor is completely free.
