Managed Investments
As would be suggested by the words "Managed Investments", such investments represent the pooled and combined moneys of many investors, such moneys managed by talented and expert Fund Managers. When an investor pools their moneys with other investors, the Fund Manager (who invests the combined capital of all investors within the Fund) has greater purchasing ability and buying power. This buying power available to the Fund Manager translates into the investor being able to take advantage of investment opportunities that would otherwise have been unavailable to the individual investor, while also allowing the Fund Manager to diversify the risk carried by each investor.
Managed investments vary and include but are not limited to Managed Funds, Green Agricultural Funds, Superannuation Funds and some allocated pensions, depending on structure. Each type of Managed Fund brings with it different Tax implications, which will also to be considered by your Financial Advisor.
